Building has always been part of Andrew’s life. His love for the trade started in Stanmore Bay, Auckland, working alongside his father Richard – a lifetime builder – during weekends and school holidays, learning the value of hard work, taking pride in what you do, and doing things properly the first time. Over time, that passion became a career, and eventually, King Projects – continuing a love of building that’s been passed down through generations. Today, Andrew is involved in every single project from start to finish, working alongside homeowners, architects, and other tradespeople to find practical solutions and bring any idea to life.
We’re a Christchurch based team, but our work has taken us further afield, from lifestyle renovations in Auckland to a holiday home build in Opononi. Wherever the project, the approach stays the same – options over assumptions, honest pricing, and a site left clean and tidy at the end of every day.
For Andrew, it’s not just about putting up walls and ticking boxes – it’s about the connection and ongoing relationship built with each client, and creating an experience where they feel listened to, kept in the loop, and confident in the person building their home.
